Renee Brown is paralegal to Patricia O. DeTreville. She has been with the firm since October 1, 2012. She has 10 years experience in the legal field, in personal injury, product liability, and worker’s compensation, with the bulk of her experience being in family law matters.
Renee grew up in Columbia, in the St. Andrews/Irmo area, near Lake Murray. She spent her summers on Lake Murray, and considers herself a “lake girl”. She attended the University of South Carolina, where she studied English literature, was Co-Captain of the USC Batgirls for the Gamecock Baseball team, and worked in the Athletic Ticket Office. Thanks to her work with the Athletic Department, she was afforded the opportunity to travel to various schools in the SEC for athletic events, and was able to attend and work at the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournaments in New Orleans and Atlanta.
Renee is a member of Moncks Corner United Methodist Church, where she serves a President of the MCUMC United Methodist Women. She is also the Vice President of the Charleston District United Methodist Women. She is an avid Gamecock fan, and has been attending games since she was 4 years old. She has one son, Jones, who is a budding athlete in his own right. Renee devotes her spare time to being with her son, be it at his games, taking him Gamecock Baseball games in the spring, or spending time with their family.
